Printmaking Today

Printmaking Today: An Introduction to the Graphic Arts (Holt, Rinehart, and Winston, 1958).  The first studio handbook published in the U.S., this richly illustrated volume quickly became the standard text for college courses.  It still holds a place of honor on the bookshelves of many artists and educators.

“Heller calls ‘Printmaking Today’ a studio handbook but it is a great deal more than that.  It is informative, with much reference material, delightful to read and a joy to look at.  Seldom does a book achieve so much.”

– Romas Viesulas, Leonardo, vol. 7, no. 4, Autumn 1974, p. 373
